What is Wrong with my MLM company?

Have you thought that there was something wrong with my MLM company? You had done everything my upper-line had told you to do, but still you could not make any sales. And you didn’t seem to find anyone who would like to become a distributor for this company.

How many of us haven’t either said or thought the above? Then, we decide it’s time to change companies and have the same thing happen in next company. I used to be at one time with Jafra, then Herbalife, and finally Agel and wasn’t successful with any of them. Why? Are they bad companies? Not at all, they are all great companies. The problem is that we don’t take the posture we need to either because we are worried about what other people are saying about us or we’re not really sure we want to be our own bosses and take the responsibility to do the job right.

This actually happened to one of my mentors – David Wood. I have been following him for the year. He kept jumping from one company to another and even lived in his van with his wife.  Finally, he realized that it was he’s own fault that he didn’t earn the money should. He made up his mind to do whatever it took to get his business going, and he became the number one representative in his company in the next six month.

MLM companies are fine. Lots of people are making money with them and living well – living the lifestyle they always dreamed of. Is what you’re doing right now working? If it isn’t you need to make some changes. What is it that you need to do to get going? Hook up with like minded people; mentors who can guide you in the right direction. Brush up on some of your skills and keep going.

Understand that MLMs are real companies. They are legal. They are doing well. And they are the best investment you can make for your life in a world recession like this one.  Stop complaining and making excuses. They won’t take you anywhere. Make a decision today to take responsibility and be your own boss. Work for yourself believing that your business is a real business because it is!

Cheers!

MLM or Conventional Jobs?

Many people are turned off when they hear the word MLM. In most of the cases, they just heard stories are about it, but didn’t really do any research on it to understand what it really means.

We all heard our parents say while we were growing up how important it was to go to school. They also kept telling us that we needed to go to college to be able to have a career and be somebody someday. Obviously, after graduation, we were supposed to find a job with a good company, work about 40 hours a week and build up a great retirement fund. Then, later we would be able to enjoy our lives.

If this traditional method has ever worked in America, it isn’t anymore. The truth is that there aren’t enough jobs for everyone. Unless you’re an above average student or your family has a business, chances are you’re going to have to either flip burgers or wait on tables. Perhaps, you might luck out and find a mediocre job in an office.

How many of you have friends who are either unemployed or are concerned that they may be laid off any time? There shouldn’t be any discrimination in the US as far as jobs are concerned, but a 55 year old friend of mine can’t find a housekeeping job.

Another friend of mine, who has worked for 35 years for a government agency, is approaching retirement age and is quite concerned. He knows that when that happens he won’t be able to keep the same lifestyle he’s used to. There are many seniors in this country who are barely making it while there are others who can’t even afford all their prescription meds.

Young and seasoned adults alike are suffering in the land of opportunities trying to make a decent living the traditional way, but it doesn’t seem like they have a chance. Have you ever heard that if you want things to change, you have to change you’re your own attitude? Then, it’s time to think outside the box. Instead of depending on other people to dictate your own financial outcome, start your own business. And MLMs are the cheapest way to do so.

There are plenty of people of all ages making tons of money with multimarketing both offline and online. I have friends in both worlds who doing very well. There are also some famous people, who you probably know, who endorse the MLM business model: President Clinton, Robert Kiyosaki – author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, and businessman Donald Trump.

MLM is all about finding a good solid company and team that is coachable and willing to work and be successful.

Prosperity to you!

Isn’t MLM a Pyramid?

If when you hear the acronym MLM, you think of “pyramid” associating it with a scam, I totally understand. Some time ago, I was in the same place you are today and did same thing. I was super-scared when people approached me with MLM businesses.

As a matter of fact, the term “pyramid” has been used for an illegal company which has been solely designed to scam people. It doesn’t have a real structure, a budget or even a real location. It’s just a scam.

On the other hand, MLM companies are legitimate and last for a long time. They have a budget, a manufacturing plant and an administration. The main difference between a traditional company and an MLM one is the way they distribute their products.

Have you ever bought stuff from Avon, Cookie Lee, The Pampered Chef, Jafra or Herbalife? Or have you at least heard of them? Well, you guessed it. They are MLM companies. You don’t think they are pyramid scams or schemes do you? They aren’t. Those are solid companies and have been in the market for many years.

And how do MLM companies sell their products? They sell them through distributors who are positioned one under the other according to their order of arrival in the company. This structure resembles a pyramid. But don’t you think all companies have a similar structure?

Have you ever stopped to think how a traditional business is structured? There’s the head of the company: the president who earns the biggest salary, followed by the vice-president; then, come the managers, the supervisors and the workers. And the levels of income depend on the position of each person.

In a MLM company, it does not matter where the person is positioned or when he comes in. His income depends mostly on the amount of people he has recruited and sometimes, on the frequency of recruitment as well.

MLM companies invest a lot of money in research and development of their products. They are committed to manufacturing the best quality products on earth. They are far from being a pyramid scams.

As a matter of fact, the pyramid structure is considered to be the most stable shape for projects involving large amounts of stone or masonry. So, that idea of stability was probably transferred to the traditional business format which continues being used to this day, even by MLM companies.

I would love to hear what you think. So, please, feel free to live me a comment.

To your success!

What is MLM?

Multi-Level Marketing

I know, it sounds weird at first sight. Even after understanding that MLM stands for Multi-Level Marketing, and that it’s also called Network Marketing or Direct Selling, I thought it was some kind of fraud. But soon, I realized that it is an actual business which uses a very interesting way to sell products without having to go through a middle man.

MLM products are not sold in regular stores. So, suppose you wanted to purchase such a product, you either needed to find a distributor in your area or become one yourself. And most multi-level marketing companies, now-a-days, ship the product directly from their facilities to the customers.

Network Marketing Companies

Network Marketing companies invest heavy on research, so that they can manufacture the best products ever. And because they believe so much in their products, they prefer to sell it through distributors. They understand that once someone tries their product, they will be hooked and they will want to share their experience with others.

So, the role of the distributor is to get well acquainted with the company and the product to be able to testify of its high quality to family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors; and then, to train those who partner with him on how to duplicate the process.

Most people who get involved with MLM companies fall in love with it. I know because I did. The idea of sharing a great product with family and friends seems so easy. Unfortunately, that isn’t necessarily true. Your product and company may be very exciting to you, but totally irrelevant to your family and friends.

Soon, you find out that your friends and family are tired of your approaching them with your opportunity, and they don’t even want to hear about it anymore. You start, then, buying leads – people who are supposedly interested in your business. However, it turns out that those leads are no good because they are sold multiple times to different people.

So, what’s the solution ?

The Internet. As more and more people are turning to the Internet for solutions, it’s possible to find prospects who are interested in your MLM and in doing business with you.

It’s a question of starting to hang out in social sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, and make friends with like minded people. Find out what their needs are and supply those needs with a unique proposition. Just be sincere and truly helpful. As your friends realize that you are a truly concerned about helping them, supplying  their needs and solving their problems, you will no longer need to chase after anyone. They will be chasing you as long as you keep providing what they need.

When you chose the appropriate company and product, your MLM business can be very fun and rewarding, especially when you have a good platform to market it with. Click here to see if this system would be a nice fit for you.

Are you an MLMer? What has your experience been?

To your success!
