What is Wrong with my MLM company?

I think there’s something wrong with my MLM company. I have done everything my upper-line has told me to do, but still I cannot make any sales. And I don’t seem to find anyone who would like to become a distributor for this company.

How many of us haven’t either said or thought the above? Then, we decide it’s time to change companies and have the same thing happen in next company. I used to be at one time with Jafra, then Herbalife, and finally Agel and wasn’t successful with any of them. Why? Are they bad companies? Not at all, they are all great companies. The problem is that we don’t take the posture we need to either because we are worried about what other people are saying about us or we’re not really sure we want to be our own bosses and take the responsibility to  the job right.

This actually happened to one of my mentors – David Wood. I have been following him for the last eight months. He kept jumping from one company to another and even lived in his van with his wife.  Finally, he realized that it was he’s own fault that he didn’t earn the money should. He made up his mind to do whatever it took to get his business going, and he became the number one representative in his company in the next six month.

MLM companies are fine. Lots of people are making money with them and living well – living the lifestyle they always dreamed of. Is what you’re doing right now working? If it isn’t you need to make some changes. What is it that you need to do to get going? Hook up with like minded people; mentors who can guide you in the right direction. Brush up on some of your skills and keep going.

Understand that MLMs are real companies. They are legal. They are doing well. And they are the best investment you can make for your life in a world recession like this one.  Stop complaining and making excuses. They won’t take you anywhere. Make a decision today to take responsibility and be your own boss. Work for yourself believing that your business is a real business because it is!

Cheers!

MLM or Conventional Jobs?

Many people are turned off when they hear the word MLM. In most of the cases, they just heard stories are about it, but didn’t really do any research on it to understand what it really means.

We all heard our parents say while we were growing up how important it was to go to school. They also kept telling us that we needed to go to college to be able to have a career and be somebody someday. Obviously, after graduation, we were supposed to find a job with a good company, work about 40 hours a week and build up a great retirement fund. Then, later we would be able to enjoy our lives.

If this traditional method has ever worked in America, it isn’t anymore. The truth is that there aren’t enough jobs for everyone. Unless you’re an above average student or your family has a business, chances are you’re going to have to either flip burgers or wait on tables. Perhaps, you might luck out and find a mediocre job in an office.

How many of you have friends who are either unemployed or are concerned that they may be laid off any time? There shouldn’t be any discrimination in the US as far as jobs are concerned, but a 55 year old friend of mine can’t find a housekeeping job.

A Caribbean Wedding

The Caribbean islands seem to be a favorite honeymoon destination for newlyweds. The weather there is sunny all year round and it’s possible to enjoy many activities together; there are tours to take, water sports
to try, exotic dancing to do or simply a spot on the beach to relax, bathing in the sun.

In recent years, many couples are not only choosing the Caribbean islands for their honeymoon, but also for their wedding ceremony as well. However, there are both advantages and disadvantages on which to ponder when making such a decision. Continue reading »

Is Camping Part Of Your Culture?

I’m originally from Brazil and back there, we consider camping as something that’s primarily part the American culture. We see it in movies, magazines and books. Most of the Brazilian baby boomers have never had the opportunity to go camping, unless, they were a girl or a boy scout.

Don’t take me wrong. There’s camping in Brazil as you can from the picture. It started in 1966 with the creation of a club called “Camping Clube do Brasil”. So, to be able to go camping in Brazil, you need to either be a member of this club – which is pricy for most folks, or know someone who is. Anyone who’s a member can invite friends to come to a camp as guests.

Does Traveling Resonate With You?

I totally understand that kind feeling and can sympathize with people who find themselves in such an uncomfortable situation. I felt like that years ago when I had to travel by myself for the first time. However, I would translate it rather as “fear of the unknown."

It’s only natural that when you have to go to a different place, especially on your own, that you might have fear. Not knowing what to expect from something is quite scary.

Nowadays, though, there are many ways of finding out ahead of time about the places you’re going to visit. There are books and magazines you can buy; there are websites on the Internet that you can check. Perhaps, you know someone who’s been where you want to go and with whom you can talk about it. What Is An Entrepreneur?

An entrepreneur is, first and foremost, someone who is a self-starter and a risk-taker who has vision and drive to start something new that he thinks will benefit himself, his family and his community.

A business minded person is a leader. He is ready to take ownership of his own life, time and financial means.  He is ready to become his own boss and assume all the hardships and responsibilities that come with it.

He is determined. He has decided that in spite of the fear and the risks, he is ready to start on his own. He has the necessary skills and enough experience on a certain area to start a business. And he wants to be able to profit from his own labor.

Online Presence

No matter what your enterprise is, an online presence is a must these days. It’s the best way to show off your expertise, and while doing it, you can make some money as well.

There are two ways to get on the Internet – by either creating a website or a blog. The difference between the two is that a website is more formal and static and blog is more informal and allows interaction with the readers.

Blogs are becoming more and more popular because they are easier to build, and it’s an excellent way to connect with your audience, offer them information, and get their opinion on your posts.

Isn’t MLM a Pyramid?

If when you hear the acronym MLM, you think of “pyramid” associating it with a scam, I totally understand. Some time ago, I was in the same place you are today and did same thing. I was super-scared when people approached me with MLM businesses.

As a matter of fact, the term “pyramid” has been used for an illegal company which has been solely designed to scam people. It doesn’t have a real structure, a budget or even a real location. It’s just a scam.

On the other hand, MLM companies are legitimate and last for a long time. They have a budget, a manufacturing plant and an administration. The main difference between a traditional company and an MLM one is the way they distribute their products.

What is MLM?

What is MLM? I know, it sounds weird at first sight. Even after understanding that MLM stands for Multi-Level Marketing, and that it’s also called Network Marketing or Direct Selling, I thought it was some kind of fraud. But soon, I realized that it is an actual business which uses a very interesting way to sell products without having to go through a middle man.

MLM products are not sold in regular stores. So, suppose you wanted to purchase such a product, you either needed to find a distributor in your area or become one yourself. And most multi-level marketing companies, now-a-days, ship the product directly from their facilities to the customers. Continue reading »
